Draper Tyre Tread Depth Gauge

About this product

The Draper Tyre Tread Depth Gauge is a professional measuring tool designed for accurate assessment of tyre tread depth on all types of vehicles. Accepted by the UK Department of Transport for MOT testing, this gauge provides reliable measurements from 1-26mm in clearly marked one millimetre graduations on its sliding barrel scale. Built with a plated steel body for durability in workshop environments, the gauge features a convenient pocket clip for easy storage and accessibility during vehicle inspections. The tool includes a dedicated 1.6mm graduation mark that corresponds to the UK's legal minimum tyre tread depth requirement, making it ideal for MOT testing stations, garages, and mobile mechanics who need to verify compliance quickly and accurately. The sliding barrel design ensures fast, straightforward readings without complex mechanisms, allowing technicians to measure tread depth efficiently across multiple tyres. This makes the gauge suitable for routine vehicle safety checks, pre-MOT inspections, and general tyre condition assessments in both professional workshops and fleet maintenance operations.
